Meet The Njeri Shawl. Woven from 100% South African cotton exclusively for UDO & HARMONY by a cherished family-owned mill in Cape Town. It drapes like a whisper, yet holds you like a promise.  

Named after the Kikuyu word for “warrior,” this shawl honors a different kind of strength: one that’s gentle, unwavering, and deeply felt. It embodies our commitment to celebrating African heritage through refined, contemporary design. Where softness is not the opposite of strength, but part of it.

The symbols woven into the Zuri Pattern are inspired by the rich traditions of African textiles and cultures. Representing blessings such as wealth and good fortune, bravery and courage, they come together in a design that honours heritage and carries the hope that all who wear it may be wrapped in their beauty and the virtues they represent.

The Njeri is machine woven in Cape Town, South Africa with 100% South African Cotton from one of the best cotton mills in the country which creates the softest and most luxurious superior cotton.

Cotton is one of the world's oldest known fibres much loved for centuries for its comfort, versatility, breathability, & hypoallergenic properties.

Please allow for up to 8 - 10 working days for manufacturing when we do not have stock on-hand. We will email you once your Zuri order is ready, and ship it accordingly.

Because all our products are handmade and hand dyed, there may be colour and shape variations, which is what makes our products unique and individual. These small variations add to the charm, tactile look and feel of each item.
